Well hello there!

As Dave mentioned I’m Nathan McLean the Primary Age Children’s Pastor of Hillsong Church – Hills Campus.

I absolutely love children and Children’s Ministry and could do it for the rest of my life, so that’s why Dave has me joining his blog. I’m not as technical as Dave but I am passionate about leadership and seeing the next generation rise up with a healthy love for God and His Church!

Yes I am getting married in Feb 06 to the most beautiful woman in the world! Jess is the Youth Administrator on the Hills campus for our Youth Ministry, Hillsong United!

NEWSFLASH: Nathan Mclean joins the Blog!!

Nathan is the Primary Age Childrens Pastor at our Hills Campus and is an awesome young leader. He is engaged to Jess and both (obviously) will be getting married in February 06!

You can see picture of Jess here. She is the youth Administrator, and much better looking than Nathan.

So make him feel welcome, he will make his first post very soon…

I don’t have a picture of Nathan yet… but that’s probably for the best.

The release date for Super Strong God in USA and South America is 28th February 2006.

A new “teaching document” issued by the Roman Catholic bishops of England, Wales and Scotland warns that Catholics should not take the Bible literally — that it’s not infallible. “We should not expect to find in Scripture full scientific accuracy or complete historical precision,” they say in the booklet, “The Gift of Scripture”.

So what sorts of things aren’t accurate?

Creation, for one. Genesis, they note, has two different, and sometimes conflicting, creation stories and cannot be considered “historical.” Rather, the bishops say, it simply contains “historical traces.” (London Times)

This Christmas begins the Chronicles of Narnia – “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”. Now, like the “Lord of the Rings”, the books had a big impact on me when I was a kid and so I await with mucho anticipationo for the release of this movie.

There is a lot of interest from the Childrens Ministry / Christian world using this as an outreach tool (much like The Passion of the Christ) and teaching tool which it a GREAT idea.

I am looking to do a series on it next year sometime, when the DVD is released probably and teach kids the major themes of Christianity found in the books.

Yesterday ABC officially announced that they have ordered a script and five episode outlines for America’s Next Muppet, a new “reality” TV show starring the Muppets.

If the show is picked up by ABC would mark the first time the Muppets have had a primetime series since Muppets Tonight! was cancelled in 1998.

Hope it makes it to Primetime! Then maybe we will get it over here in Aussie!

Well I have just put ‘Super Strong God’ on my iPod – and we will be releasing the album this weekend in our once a year family services!

The final artwork is REALLY cool. I haven’t seen the final DVD yet, but can’t wait to check it out in all its glory!
