I just felt to make a comment re: Ted Haggard. I won’t bore you with details… read the press release from New Life Church if you need them.

I saw him speak at a conference here in Australia and was hugely inspired by his intelligence and insight… I can still remember his message.

Whatever the outcome, it seems that there has at least been some wrong doing on his part, I pray for his family and kids.

We as people who work with children need to head the advice from another blog I just read a few minutes ago:

Maybe they are just not in my part of planet earth, but they seem to do some pretty cool things.

My journalistic instinct may have been a little off from an earlier post… it seems that the US is allowing Vegemite to be sold on its shores! A victory for the free world!

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced today that recent media reports that the agency had banned imports of Vegemite — a yeast spread popular in Australia — are false.

A woman was at work when she received a phone call that her small daughter was very sick with a fever. She left her work and stopped by the pharmacy to get some medication. She got back to her car and found that she had locked her keys in the car. She didn’t know what to do, so she called home and told the baby sitter what had happened.

He said, “Sure.” He walked over to the car, and in less than a minute the car was opened.

She hugged the man and through her tears she said,”Thank You So Much!
You are a very nice man.” The man replied, “Lady, I am not a nice man. I just got out of prison today. I was in prison for car theft and have only been out for about an hour.”

The woman hugged the man again and with sobbing tears cried out loud, “Oh, Thank you God! You even sent me a Professional!”

Several months ago I was visiting my grandmother in Kingsport, TN and discovered the most delicious food ever! I awoke one morning and found her frying a Krispy Kreme donut. Local newspaper coverage of the recent Kidsfest event…

The Hills Shire Times sent a reporter to cover the story… nice of them.
The picture that accompanied the story in the paper had a picture of Kirsty Thornthwaite (one of our awesome worship leaders) incorrectly labelled as Julia.

Plus a couple of other technicalities in the story that aren’t quite correct (Ms A’Bell?? Mrs, I think).

If you are an expat Aussie or even a Kiwi living in the good ole’ US of A then prepare for a shock. The US Gov has banned acai online Vegemite.
