Todd,

I'm just not sure that there is an easy way to 'digitize' old books. But I will say there are other places online to buy kindle format books for cheaper. I got a john piper fasting book for $4 US.

Sam,

it's still early days. This year will produce a LOT of different types of ebook readers. For $300 I didn't mind being an early adoptee :)

I've played around with a Kindle and it's fun, I'm just not 100% there yet. I think my wife would really like for me to have a Kindle... I love my books. However, I can get nostalgic about some books and I tend to buy a lot of used books and I'm often grabbing them off Amazon or Ebay for 2-3 bucks a pop. I guess there's room for both, huh? Sounds good. Thanks for helping me sort this out. I think I want a Kindle now. :)

I just love that all of your blog posts about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are about 1 to 2 paragraphs long but give you a techno topic and you write up a monster.

I am looking forward to the next time I am around at your house and you show it too me again, explaining all its features, pointing out all its benefits and ignoring me saying that it is the 3rd time you have done the whole spiel to me.

Have Fun

I am so so soooo close to buying one.

(this might be an item that will be included in the children's church budget in 2010).

Thanks for your compelling thoughts

Wow Dave never heard anyone give such a compelling reason to own a kindle. Just the push a button to save a clip from the book alone is worth the purchase for me.

Should I wait till they offer the colour version?

I too am going all digital with my books. Do you have a great way to bring your paper version books into digital? That is my snag at the present time, I have a ton of paper books.

I have turned all my old VHS tapes into digital and added to my iTunes but have no idea how to do it with the paper version books.

Do you?
