Cool.
American idol sing ‘Shout to the Lord’ in the finale of their ‘Idol gives back show’. Although removing Jesus from the song. But hey, still a great way to include evangelical USA.

Tonight they opened with Shout to the Lord and left ‘Jesus’ in! I’ve got mixed emotions, but like you said… pretty cool!
They also had Dolly Parton on Idol a few weeks back and she totally sang a beautiful song “Lifetd me up”, not sure of the exact title but it had Jesus’ name all the way through it. Made me have goosebumps. And at the end she said “hallelujah Simon – how are ya?”. Very cool.
I didn’t get to see this one, but I did see the one that they opened the show with and I thought they said Jesus as well. I was just so surprised that they would sing that..and it was cool. And hopefully, that song touched some hearts to really seek out who this awesome God we serve is and how He radically changes our lives. Would of been cool to see the hillsong band up there singing uh?
