Harry Connick concert went OFF!

Terrible picture I know, but an absolutely brilliant concert. He is a BRILLIANT entertainer and got two standings O’s at the end. I have never seen him live before, mainly owing to the fact that I grew up in New Zealand, and the only musicians that made the trip were either buskers, or doing it for charity… (it’s expensive to get to Middle Earth).

So one of the perks of being in Sydney is that you get a few more acts come through.

The band played a bunch of stuff from his lastest album Oh, My NOLA. He did a bunch of songs from that, and a whole lotta New Orleans old school! (St James Infirmary Blues, Basin Street Blues…)

A great finish to a BIG Easter weekend.

Monday evening… going to to see Harry Connick Jr at the Syney Opera House tonight! Which caps off a great easter!!

Easter was at the Darling Harbour Convention Centre again this year! Which means the rooms for our school age kids has a magnificent view over the harbour… I SHOULD have taken a photo!!! Dang!

Had a great 6 services really speaking about what Jesus has done on the cross! Saw a number of families who I have not seen for a long time and was able to connect with the kids!

So a great weekend with a record number of kids attending!

This week brings around our annual Colour Conference!

Thousands of women at the Acer Arena for a few days of maximum estrogen.

I love the concept of live blogging (real time commentary), but that kinda only works if you are attending the conference, so I thought I would live blog the experience for the kids we are putting on!
